THE skills of up to 30 WA football stars will be closely watched as AFL recruiters attend the WAFL state game against South Australia on May 23.
Six players from the Perth Demons have been selected to join the squad. They are Jarrod Kayler-Thomson, Scott Siekierka, Ross Young, Aaron Zucconi, Matthew Moody and Matthew Ferguson.
Head coach Andrew Jarman said players should regard selection as an honour. “If the boys get selected to play in a State Jumper I would expect them to put their heart and soul into the game,” Jarmen said.
“I am very proud of the lads and wish them the best. One thing I’d say to them is ‘please don’t get injured’.”
The squad will be headed by coach Scott Waters and assisted by Tony Micale, Shane Woewodin and Chris Waterman.
