FREMANTLE chairman Rick Hart says coach Mark Harvey is as "safe as anyone" and hopes to re-sign him after his contract expires at the end of 2010.
In a powerful endorsement for the second-year coach, Hart said last
night Harvey's rapport with his players was first-rate and the list
redevelopment was going to plan.
The glowing report closed the door on a potential move to the
Dockers for departed North Melbourne coach and Western Australian Dean
Laidley.
Despite the club carrying a 3-9 win-loss record and wallowing in
15th position, Hart was emphatic Harvey would coach the club next year.
