THE Wheatbelt Aviation Strategy Ministerial Taskforce report handed to the Regional Development Minister this week has highlighted the suitability of the region for aviation training.
Minister Brendon Grylls said the report showed the aviation industry, community and Government could use the Wheatbelt to develop quality airstrips and training centres.
“The taskforce has found there is a sound infrastructure base for the future development of general aviation and pilot training.”
Mr Grylls said the Government would require industry expertise to develop frameworks for training.
